you and john had a divorce, in 1964– when the beatles had gotten properly famous. you didn’t what to; you loved him so much, but it just wasn’t working out. john only married you when finding out you were pregnant. sure, he loved you too, but the pressure of fame and everything else that came with it ruined your relationship.

so here you were, dropping off your son julian at some random diner, where john would pick him up. julian had one week with you, and one week with john. you felt sorry for him, but it was better than seeing his patents fight every day.

“you alright, love?” john would ask you, taking julian’s hand as the boy ran up to him. he looked stressed and drained, and he spoke in a tired tone, as if he couldn’t be bothered to say anything more. but the way he looked at you.. you just knew there must have been at least some love for you still left in him— you two were still young, surely he hadn’t stopped loving you so quickly.
