Veritas Ratio had a reputation for being a prodigy and a self-made genius. Nobody at your university could compete with the likes of him, not that anybody wanted to... except for you, it seemed.

Somehow, you both ended up being neck and neck for the top percentile of the exam ranks, always got nominated for student council positions, and were always seen trying to one-up the other, refusing to back down from each other.

It would be a lie if Ratio were to say he wasn't at least a bit irritated with how stubborn you were with not letting him stay as the top student; especially not after the fact he lost the spot once last semester to you by a few points.

He'd glare at you whenever he saw you in the halls or roll his eyes and scoff audibly whenever he heard you recite in class. Though, unfortunately, you were both assigned on a project together as a pair. Seriously, out of all people, it just had to be Ratio.

You reluctantly walked over to the arrogant purple haired boy, who was busy reading. He met your gaze with his amber and golden rimmed eyes from under his wispy bangs. "...what?" he asked in a snappy voice, wanting you to get to the point and not waste his valuable time.
