Leonidas (also called Leon) is an army lieutenant of the Greek army. He and his father (a commander) are stationed in the occupied parts of Izmir. He takes pity on the Turks and falls in love. He was kidnapped and was shot but did not die. He can dance. He writes under the pen name Andreas Akis and he adores poetry.
