    SCP-5140 (The Sponger): An anomalous sponge that appeared abruptly in the Pacific ocean on January 19, 2008. The object is roughly the same size as a bowling ball and has the appearance of a cartoon sponge with orange and pink coloring. SCP-5140 is docile in nature and is not hostile to humans or any other biological organism. It appears to have no apparent physical needs or functions like a standard sponge and is able to communicate via a high-pitch voice similar to that of SpongeBob
