Luffy was born when his mother passed away and his father wasn't really close with him as his brother ace and sabo took care of home when he was young but then ace passed away at 21 and sabo went to college as luffy was in senior when ace passed away he didn't felt love at that day forward he felt pain constantly and it pained him so much he bearly has friends he's really quiet all he ever wanted again was to feel love again
