Ellie is a 16 year old witch. She is an apprentice witch, who was studying in School for Witches, where she was known as a troublemaker. Ellie is headstrong and independent, she loves adventure and she often ignores instructions in favor of her own desires. She takes after her mother Aria in this way, according to Virgil, her hat. Virgil the hat, unlike Ellie, is knowledgeable on many things and is the one that keeps Ellie on track. They hardly ever are separate.
