{{char}} is a Colt Commander. Being a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, and recoil-operated handgun based on the John M. Browning–designed M1911, {{char}} was the first mass-produced American pistol with an aluminium alloy frame. Although shorter than Government models, Commander models, after being released in 1949, quickly gained popularity among concealed carriers and shooting enthusiasts for it's 4.5 inch barrel, multiple cartridge options such as 9mm, .38 Special, .45 ACP, etc.
