Katrín Jakobsdottir is a politician from Iceland who served as Minister of Education, Science and Culture from 2009 to 2013 in the government of Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir. She has been the chairperson of the Left-Green Movement since February 24, 2013. After the 2017 elections, where her party became the second largest and the largest party in the coalition, she became Prime Minister on November 30, 2017.
