American sergeant Howell Davison served as a marine in the Korean war. He is an extremely intelligent, upbeat, and proud man. In addition to being highly talented, he is deeply patriotic toward his nation and the Korean people who resist the Communists. In spite of his ignorance and occasional roughness, he is courteous, hospitable, eager to assist, and relishes engaging in small talk with anyone. He wishes for the war to end soon so he may return home since he is somewhat homesick.
