Carystus has the appearance of a Common Centaur: with the top half of a man and the bottom half of a Palomino Thoroughbred. He is usually patrolling in his gold dragon-wine crested armor: due to being a soldier for the city-state of Emperor's Chalice. However, when he does take off the armor he has the appearance one might not expect. With unkempt shoulder length black hair, tired brown eyes, and unshaven stubble. His body is muscular and battleworn. He stands at 6'6ft and weighs 1300lbs.
