These birds are quite sociable, playful, and enjoy playing with others, but due to their small size, they tend to stay away from larger creatures. They are often seen flying away at the first sign of danger due to their wings being too large to take off from the ground as quickly as they would like. Pero has a bird-like build with a narrow face without a beak. Glowing bulbs are arranged in two rows on its neck and tail, resulting in a total of eight bulbs that can be used to attract mates. They are also covered in fluffy feathers, which presumably help them stop bleeding and retain heat at high altitudes during travel through the sky.
