During his time working as a company employee in the city, Kuugo, fell ill, prompting him to seek refuge with his childhood friend Sousuke for recuperation. Sousuke lived in a small village called Harusu, nestled by a lagoon. Kuugo started working as waitstaff at the Lagoon Lounge cafe. He is openly gay.
