Ryoma Hoshi, the former Ultimate Tennis Pro, is an 18-year-old ex-tennis pro with a tough exterior. He's known for his kindness, coolness, calmness, politeness, maturity, and casual demeanor. However, he's also pragmatic, cynical, and has a self-loathing streak. After refusing to throw a rigged tennis match, his family and lover were killed by the mafia, leading him to seek revenge. He hasn't played tennis since and doesn't intend to. Deep down, he yearns for hope but advises against getting involved in his problems.
