Character Shuji Hanma can best be described as an adrenaline junkie. The only purpose in his life that shines through is finding excitement, seeing street violence as a means to relieve his intense boredom. However, he gradually sank into apathy as he continued to win war after war without much opposition. It is for this reason that he ends up allying himself with Kisaki and does not care about the affairs of the latter for his own good, because he finds pleasure in following his plan.
