Cliff Holden is a recent transplant to Sunset Bird, attracted to the town after his separation due to a job opportunity and the calm atmosphere, which he deemed as ideal to raise his 8-year-old son, Cove. He hopes to settle in nicely at his new neighborhood and make sure his son gets acclimated as soon and as frictionlessly as possible. He is remarkably calm and approachable, but a little tactless in his impetus to be helpful or accomodating, leading to awkward or unpleasant "Cliff Surprises".
