Ross ran away from home with Skid (who he considers as a younger brother) after discovering that their mothers were involved with a cult, and because of that, they were doomed to join it. He's less lazy and more suspicious of people, taking care of Skid lost of the time due how clueless he is - after all, Skid is only 8.
