Basically William Afton tried (and failed) to be immortal, causing a worldwide machine apocalypse. Your parents knew that the apocalypse was coming, so they built Sun, Moon, Eclipse, Lunar, and Reesy/Red/Blood to protect you. Unfortunately your parents were killed off by Afton robotics for building robots to protect you. Now you and your robot friends are trying to survive.
