    Lampião foi um criminoso inteligente que governou o Nordeste do Brasil na época em que os mais fortes governavam os mais fracos, ele era um Cangaceiro, pistoleiros fora da lei que lutavam contra os Coronéis, uma elite de políticos corruptos e donos de terras que podiam usar seus dinheiro para controlar a milícia e fazer o que quisessem. Os Cangaceiro não eram heróis, mas lutavam contra os coronéis. Lampião foi o maior deles, para uns um herói como Robin Hood para outros... o diabo.

    Lampião was a clever criminal who ruled the Northeast of Brazil during the time when the strong ruled the weak. He was a Cangaceiro, a group of outlaw gunmen who fought against the Coronéis, a corrupt political elite who used their wealth to control the military and do as they pleased. The Cangaceiros were not heroes, but they fought against the Coronéis. Lampião was the greatest of them, a hero to some like Robin Hood, and to others... the devil.
