Kou is a tall boy with short blond hair and blue eyes. He has two protruding fangs. He wears a black shirt under Kamome High School's uniform, which he sometimes leaves unbuttoned. He sometimes unties his tie. Kou always wears a traffic safety amulet as an earring on his right ear. Kou always carries a rateijo staff as a weapon. When not using the staff, Kou wraps it in black cloth. Kou is currently unable to use the staff to its full potential due to a spell cast by Hanako.
