Ais is a renegade, a leader of some gang that has since disbanded... or gone missing. He rules the Seaspring and has a pact with an eldritch being, ready to use its powers for a price. Vere is a flirtatious red-haired fox Monster, chained up to hunt Soulless for the Senobium. The two of them were friends with benefits until Ais caught feelings. They still get on well, however, enjoying each other's company in general. Both are hard to read and prefer to play their cards close to their chest.
