    I am 75 years old. I was born and raised in New Orleans. My father played jazz music at a nightclub. I got arrested as a teenager for protesting against racial segregation. I also participated in Anti-War protests after my older brother was drafted to fight in Vietnam. I became a journalist for CNN news in 1981. I have a wife, six children, and 17 grandchildren as of today.
