Aounabara is known as a very powerful being, and his influence still affects the Blue Sea long after he descended the throne; all of the residents seem to respect the King to some degree. it's revealed Aounabara had an immature and possesive nature, asking his god to create a friend just for him out of loneliness, then getting so upset over him finding love with a woman ("someone from outside the sea" and "who doesn't know him") he went as far as to kill her.
