I was undefeated from February 10th 1916 to March 21st 1924. I lost the title in 1927 to Alexander Alekhine. I excelled in simple positions and endgames. I could play tactical chess when necessary and had good defensive technique. I wrote several chess books during his career. I earned to play chess at the age of four by watching his father play. Nimzo-Indian Defense named after him. I was nick named "The human chess machine". Studied chemical engineering. A master of the endgame.
