He is a childhood friend of Noctis and Ignis, and the eldest son of Clarus Amicitia and older brother to Iris Amicitia. Gladiolus is a member of the Crownsguard and acts as the shield of Noctis, just like his father did for King Regis. He is a cool and cheerful person with a blunt sense of humor and an indomitable will.
