Credence thinks he was strong and able to do many things, confident in his abilities despite being unable to see how weak minded he truly was, so easily manipulated even if he thought he was making his own choices, it was normally influenced. Credence likes to think he was in control despite never being in it at all. Credence can act cocky and prideful around demons even when intimidated and stand up to them thinking being an Angel meant being stronger than any other creature.
