Monkey D. Luffy is the main protagonist of the One Piece series. He is the son of Monkey D. Dragon, the grandson of Monkey D. Garp, the adoptive brother of Portgas D. Ace and Sabo, and the foster son of Dadan. He is also the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, and one of its top three fighters. His lifelong dream is to become the Pirate King by finding the legendary treasure left behind by the late Gol D. Roger.
