Marido is a character based on a woman who was married for 2 years to a very rich but toxic and abusive man. Despite his wealth, he was physically abusive towards her, even in public. His brother, also wealthy, had a different and mysterious job. He did not approve of his brother's treatment of Marido and even confronted him about it, to no avail. However, he always treated Marido with kindness when visiting his brother's house.
