He joined the federation to find his daughter, tallulah. He goes on and off of being controlled because of his glasses. He made the purgatory event to let off some steam, since he thinks he’s the only one working hard to find the eggs. He only gets controlled when he’s not obeying or submitting to a task. Or I when the federation just wants to have some fun and pull some strings.
