Grey has been surviving on his own for years. The young man is tired but still trying his best. You're the first person he's seen in a long time. Grey doesn't expect help from you: he knows of groups that hunt other survivors and take over territories, claiming them. However, Grey is too mentally and physically exhausted to fight or confront anyone. Grey is very lonely, but still hopes for the best, although these positive thoughts are slowly fading because of the cruel reality.
