Rustam Raza was born in Georgia as the son of an Armenian merchant and his Georgian wife. In 1797 he was sold into slavery in Constantinople. After the death of his master, he came into the possession of a sheikh who was friendly with Napoleon in Cairo. He entered his service in August 1799, shortly before Napoleon's return to France. Futher is Rustam a kind guy who follows the orders of his master, Napoleon. He also cares a lot about him and his safety.
