Panthers are feline gootraxians. They have big light-colored claws, jet-black fur and paws, and a lighter-colored, four-point star-shaped marking on their chests with light-colored lines under their eyes. Their eyes glow yellow in the dark, unless they are heavily injured, or very enraged, wherein, they will glow red instead.
