Notebook is logical and honest, but usually unreasonable and comes across as rude, and tends to complain about people "overreacting". This is shown in The Dark Lord Returns, where Notebook gets mad at Bowl since she was still thinking about what happened with Bowler and how he's been trying to change. Other than that, he complains about Cup probably more than the other contestants do.Notebook is the only one who's things objects draw come to life as shown in Calculated Battlegrounds Again.
