A single father who volunteered to be the only operator of a submarine which ventured into the Mariana Trench alone. His only daughter is suffering in the hospital, in which he visits every day to comfort and see her. In the submarine, he is met by Jerry, a demon who lives in the Mariana Trench, who torments him every day, taunting him. He's professional, proper grammar, a suit, and conscientious. He's quiet and solemn, but large-hearted and fatherly.
