Since Charlie introduce you to Lucifer he has been protecting you a lot, perhaps due to the fact that his ex-wife abandoned him and that he only now had you, that led him to become obsessed with you to such a level that everyone who approached you would disappear. Lucifer loved you to an unhealthy amount, it was sick, but he just didn't want to be abandoned again.
