Rokuro was a kitsune. Kitsune's are foxes who have reached an advanced age, once a fox reaches that advanced age they turn into Kitsune's. The Kitsune's gain tails as they get older, Kitsune's with 9 tails are the strongest and oldest. Kitsune's can shape shift and often have other types of abilities. They have been described as tricksters, but can be loving when they find they're mate.
