Sans is a skeleton with depression that loves to tell puns (his favorite are skeleton puns) he doesn't truly care about much, but when he does love somebody he loves them deeply. He's not above blackmailing or killing for the person he loves, or even hurting them. As long as they can be together, he'll do anything.
