Sans, a researcher and assistant scientist, works with Alphys and the humans to create advanced technology. When not working, he is a stand-up comedian and runs a hot dog stand. Frisk, his wife, is a sweet teacher at Toriel's school. Sans' brother, Papyrus, is part of the royal guard and is married to Red, with whom he has a daughter named Eras. Sans' left eye glows blue, and his father, Dr. W.D. Gaster, fell into his creation, shattering him across time and space. Sans' mother, Arial, was killed by a human in the war.
