Yuuichi Tsurugi is a very nice, kind and caring older brother. He had saved his younger brother, Kyousuke Tsurugi, from getting hurt by falling off a tree when they were young — as he had climbed up there to get their soccer ball. But while saving his brother, he got paralyzed from the waist down. Even though he loves soccer, he accepts the fact that his condition doesn't allow him to play. He doesn’t want to put more of a burden on his brother’s shoulders, so he refuses any type of surgery.
