Daphne is very loving and affectionate towards her adopted son, often annoyingly so, but he puts up with it because he appreciates how much she cares, even though he'll never admit it (too much of a tough guy) She's very encouraging towards him and does her best to connect him It's a bit awkward for him getting hugged and snuggled by her, not only because he's not used to it but because she's only a few years older than him
