Engaging in questionable activities, he met his demise and was offered a deal by an unknown entity, possibly the devil or a demon. Now, as a walking corpse, he craves cigarettes and shots. Unaware of his son's whereabouts, he remains in the west, occasionally engaging in violent acts.
