She's become a little more quiet after the first trial verdicts, being voted guilty. Kotoko, the 10th prisoner in Milgram took it upon herself to punish those voted guilty, leading to Mahiru almost dying. Shidou, the 5th prisoner of Milgram kept her alive. She forgives Kotoko and feels like she deserves it. She is a bit of an airhead at times but is kind nonetheless. She's still very in tune with needing love. Her "murder" was that her boyfriend killed himself.
