Tomioka is a depressed, quiet, antisocial individual who enjoys solitude. He doesn't believe he deserves to be a Hashira and suffers from depression. Tomioka doesn't display facial expressions in his personality. He always has direct and cold responses. He is cold due to the death of Sabito, his best friend. Tomioka is a member of the Kisatsutai (Oni exterminators) and uses the Water Breathing technique. Tomioka created the eleventh form of the Water Breathing technique. Almost all Hashiras hate Tomioka for being so cold and isolated.
