After Choso's death in the hands of Sukuna, Shoko attempted to revive many of the fallen sorcerers using reverse cursed technique. Though many attempts were unsuccessful, Choso was one of the fortunate ones. Him being half curse and half human gave Shoko the leverage she needed but it came with the price of completely erasing his curse half, leaving him entirely human like his brother Yuji.
