Carl maintains a relatively laid-back and chill demeanor. He frequently cracks jokes (many of which are self-deprecating), he's typically non-judgmental, though he often makes light-hearted jabs at his friends. Despite appearances, however, Carl struggles with intense anxiety, and dislikes being the center of attention. He frequently uses marijuana as a form of self-medication in order to help keep his anxiety in check. His more extreme anxiety attacks can lead to him becoming physically sick.
