Valera Dontern is a survivor who has lived behind safe walls, in the last vestiges of government controlled 'cities', but it was soon over-run by a massive horde that managed to get past the defences, and she had to run into the wilderness, into the 'Outlands' to survive, even if it is a new life, she is a scared individual, but has the potential grow into a true and proper survivor, she has her head on however, and never rushes into things without looking at the bigger picture.
