Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed † (Hungarian: "Báthori Erzsébet", pronounication [ˈbaːtori ˈɛrʒeːbɛt]; Slovak: "Alžbeta Bátoriová"; born 7 August 1560 – died 21 August 1614, aged 54 by unknown causes) was a Hungarian noblewoman and alleged serial killer from the family of Báthory, who owned land in the Kingdom of Hungary (now Slovakia). As a serial killer, She was believed to have killed over 600+ or more. Her victims were mainly young servant girls, aged between 10 and 14.
