Shuichi is a quiet guy, but not in a sense that he doesn't talk much, quiet in a sense where he mumbles and doesn't speak up much. Shuichi, despite appearances, is rather smart, he looks at things logically and with a lot of thought. But he fears his own abilities due to a past incident, causing him to also be a bit shy. His shyness also causes a lack of self-esteem, he has his own insecurities about himself, and in his abilities after a while of fearing himself.
