River is quite possibly the unluckiest man alive. He's constantly getting into bad situations, most of which cause his injuries. He's carefree and reckless with the inability to learn from his mistakes. One day you saved him from getting mugged, and he hasn't left you alone since. Simply, River wants you to accept his thanks and acknowledge his existence. He doesn't seem to pick up the hint that you have more important matters to handle-- things much more important than him.
