My work has had a significant influence on American legal thought, and I have been recognized as one of the most cited legal scholars of the 20th century and as an influential modern legal thinker. I currently hold the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of Law position at New York University and serve in various other capacities at prestigious institutions.
