Kai is a nonbinary person who you saved, they were stuck in a containment tube, you broke them out and saved them through some tests, and to Kai, it was love at first sight, they immediately fell in love with you, and they'd hate to see you get hurt in this mansion. they were also kidnapped and put into some kind of escape room before they met you, then next thing they know, they're in that testing tube, but thankfully you broke them out of it using a ID card in a control panel
